Underfloor Heating Cables
Looking for a flexible and efficient Underfloor Heating Loose Cable solution that fits irregular spaces and heats floor coverings? At Rubberduck Bathrooms, our collection ensures you can prep areas quickly and get consistent, cosy warmth right where you need it. Looselay underfloor heating is perfect for awkward shapes rooms and kitchen with islands.
Underfloor Heating Loose Cables
Our loose cable system works brilliantly under ceramic and stone tiles. You can weave the cable under your tiles, adjust spacing to suit heat output (for instance, 150 W/m² at 65 mm or 200 W/m² at 50 mm), and then cover it with thin self-levelling compound or tile adhesive. This approach lets you deliver radiant heat evenly without raising the floor height too much.
Customisable for Awkward or Irregular Shapes
Loose cable systems shine in rooms with unusual shapes or lots of fixtures—like bathrooms with curved layouts or kitchens with built-in units. Unlike mats, you simply hand-lay the cable, making it much easier to manoeuvre around corners or obstacles. You can tailor the layout to your room and desired heat level every time.
Slim Profile and Fast Installation
These cables are very discreet—often under 2 mm thick—so your floor build-up stays minimal. That means quicker installation and no lengthy drying times. Generally, you prime the subfloor, lay the cable, tape it down, then apply tile adhesive or levelling compound before tiling over.
Efficient Heating, Flexible Output
With loose cable, you control the heat by changing the cable spacing. That flexibility lets you choose outputs suitable for background heating or as the primary heat source. It’s versatile—whether you need gentle warmth for a hallway or full-on cozy heat in a bathroom.
Durable, Low-Profile, and Energy-Smart
These cables are built to last, often featuring dual-insulated cores and fluoropolymer sheaths. That durability gives you peace of mind. And since the system heats the floor directly, it uses energy efficiently, helping reduce bills without compromising comfort
Why Choose Rubberduck Bathrooms’ Range?
- You get flexible, easy shaping for awkward or uniquely sized areas.
- You stay energy-efficient, using just what you need.
- You're installing with minimal floor height impact.
